Mtn. Biking, Paddle Boating, & Mmmm, Mmmm Homemade Ice Cream

For the 4th of July, we decided to join my parents at their cabin in Manor Lands--off the Mirror Lake Highway, East Fork of the Bear River (in the high Uintas).

Darrell, Sam & I went on a 8 mile mostly off-road bike ride. Later we all enjoyed some scrumptious homemade fresh strawberry, fresh pineapple, and fresh banana custard-based ice cream (I'm drooling just thinking about how yummy it was!).

On Saturday we took my parents' paddle boat to Sulphur Springs Reservoir in Wyoming for an intense yet relaxing excursion of paddling and paddling and paddling across the reservoir and back.

After that we enjoyed more homemade ice cream with our choice of mixins--Cold Stone Style--before Sam and I headed home. It was a enjoyable trip, with just Mom, Darrell, Sam & me.

I want ice cream! I remember paddling around that little lake at girls camp. I can't imagine what it was like to go across a real lake.
