Last week, I experienced for a small snippet of time what it would be like to have twins. I agreed to watch my 2-month old niece while Sam and my brother went fishing with the rest of his kids (and his wife was at work). I had to figure out how to load the car with all the stuff AND get two carseats out there. Then there was the problem of what to do if they were hungry at the same time. Winston is nursing, Morgan is bottle fed. I guess I could do both at once?
I decided to go to my mom's and have her help. :)

A few days later, I had Winston, Morgan, and 3 other kiddlings--5, 4, and 2 year olds. At 6am Morgan woke up and wanted to eat. I made a bottle, which she ate and fell asleep. Just then, Winston woke up and wanted to eat. I nursed him, and he fell asleep. None of the other kids were awake, so I seized that opportunity to jump in the shower and get ready for the day.

As soon as I was done drying my hair the 5 and 4 year olds woke up and wanted to eat. Just as I finished making breakfast for them, the 2 year old woke up and (you guessed it) wanted to eat. Then, the two babies woke up and the cycle would have repeated itself, but my mom came to help for a few hours.
Later in the weekend, we visited with Sam's brother's family, who has a baby 10 days younger than Winston. Both happened to be hungry at the same time (is there some baby-lingo that says babies are hungry at the same time when around eachother? Is it like pheramones and menstrual cycles in women?). Sam was helping out, and I couldn't resist this next "twins" photo opportunity of both of them eating.

It would be way fun to have twins...but exhausting. Kudos to you mothers of twins. And bless you. And how I hope you have plenty of help in the baby years.
