It took quite a while to figure out the angles for the stairs, plus a few extra trips to the store to buy another hand rail and the correct newel for the top. Sam's brother Isaac really helped a lot.
We'll probably pay some carpenter to do it if we ever have to make something like this again. It was a pain. A big pain. But now it's done. And I'm quite pleased with Sam's work.
And now our stairway is safe. Almost. Now on to choosing carpet.
